Sometimes our relationships with the people we love most begin to feel more like problems to solve than places to rest.

Marriages become more about keeping score than holding each other. Parenting feels like a test you never studied for. And the voice inside your own head can sound more like a cruel drill sergeant than a compassionate friend.

The ways we interact and react can become automatic. We defend, withdraw, pursue, criticize, explain, shut down, or try harder before we understand what is actually happening.

Therapy helps create space between what we feel and what we do next. In that space, we can begin to understand what is happening beneath the surface, recognize the patterns that keep repeating, and practice new ways of responding to ourselves and the people we love.
